Who are we? Hi my name is Gillie, director of TopFit Blinds & Awnings Pty Ltd. I have worked in the blind and awning industry as a self employed contract installer, in this highly competitive market for over 17 years, specialising in the domestic market at the top end range.
I have considerable experience and product knowledge. I would consider myself an expert in my field. I have/still do some contract work for such company’s as: Silent Gliss, Lifestyle, Helioscreen, Verosol and many other manufacturers. 
I have worked with a variety of retail stores, architects and designers. I have also worked closely with manufacturers and their clients.
I have a broad knowledge of all Somfy electrical products and their installations and programming, excluding electrical connections.

Products that I have worked with are:

 •  Blinds (all makes and models) – Motorised and manual operation

 •  Retractable Awning systems – Motorised and manual operation

 •  Plantation Shutters – Timber and Aluminium

 •  Curtains and Tracks – Motorised and manual operation

I also service and repair all products within the blind and awning industry. This includes repairs to Plantation Shutters.

What have I done? I am trained as a Steel Fabricator/Welder and I have worked in the construction industry for 25 years. In that time I have built a solid understanding of all building materials and their appropriate fixings. In addition I have many years or rigging/difficult access experience and hold an unrestricted riggers licence. After leaving the construction industry I started my own handyman business that ultimately led to my involvement in blinds and awnings.
I realise that there is no such thing as a square window and that from time to time there will be the need to think outside the square to make a product fit. I have earned myself the reputation of being able to take on and finish difficult projects to a high standard.
